Islands West 200 gram Dill Weed is the dried feathery leaves of a plant in the parsley family, from which we also get dill seed. Dill is an annual of the parsley family and is related to Anise, Caraway, Coriander, Cumin, and Fennel. The herb brings sweet, bright flavor to poultry, fish, potatoes and cheeses.
Spice Up Your Life Usage Tips:
- Creamy Dill Dip MIX 1 cup sour cream, 1 tsp. each Celery Salt and Dill Weed, and 1/8 tsp. Onion Powder. REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until ready to serve. Serve with crackers or vegetables.
- Use in salads, pickling, sauces, vinegars, vegetables, eggs, soups and potatoes.
- Pairs nicely with lemon. 1/2 tsp (2 mL) is equivalent to 1 tbsp (15 mL) fresh chopped dill weed.
